UPDATE (july 2018): these kind of houses will NOT make npcs spawn and already spawned npcs will not move in these houses on their own (if their original house is destroyed for example). I guess that is one way how they patched the 'infinite house'
The Atomium is a building in Brussels originally constructed for Expo 58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. I recreated it in Terraria and submitted it to the Creation Compendium #35 at Terraria Community Forums
Watch Badger playing Terraria at Twitch.
He is currently in a no armor hardcore expert mode run!
He also just finished his challenge of streaming a whole year every single day!
Use the turtle mount to build your sky- (asphalt) bridge by holding arrow-key and mouse button - semi afk. It is slower but you dont have to be careful to make a step too much and fall down
In your Documents/MyGames/Terraria folder is a file called config.json. In this file you can turn on or off various things that are not in the options in game (they all have names that are self explaining).
i recommend
"ThickMouseEdges": true,
"ThickMouseEdgesPackedColor": 4294967295,
for a thick mouse cursor outline, more info in this thread.
&
"UseSmartCursorForCommonBlocks": true,
for smart building mode with normal blocks

Everytime you see one or two eyes, help your brain to see a face. Your buildings and landscapes make ugly faces.
Use the gravity globe, tab until map overlay, zoom in map with (+) until it overlaps (max zoom) and go in a cave. Happy Trip!

a minecart-rollercoaster build i made for TheVideoGameBadger on his server. I am not happy because i could not finish it the way i wanted. I share it anyway.
I would also recommend that you dont fill your build up to much until its too cramped.

The little things make the difference sometimes; an extra pot here for weeds to grow in, a platform painted to match the background with a bottle or plates on it, etc . . .
I made a minigame called 'Lava Escape' in Terraria.
Goal is to reach the Golden Chest in a minecart by only using the jump key(space).
The mechanics are adopted (stolen) from Mocha's Minecart Obstacle Minigame and another minecart minigame concept also by Mocha. Thank you Mocha! :) I hope its ok.
I have to thank Plantszaza too, who is testing the game in the video.
Rules:
1. Start by mounting the rail in the starting box to the top right.
2. Only key allowed and needed to play is jump [space].
3. No altering of speed [left or right arrow keys]. Stay at 20mph.
4. Try to reach the goal, the Golden Chest, by jumping at the right times.
5. If you get stuck, you have to reset through the teleporter.
6. If you use the teleporter you loose one life.
(a flashing skull indicates a lost life)
7. The number of lifes lost is your (negative) score.
Best score is 0
